HEALING THROUGH PSYCHODRAMA

Ruth Norman, cofounder and director of Unarius, introduced the psychodrama as a wonderful tool of past-life therapy in the ‘70s and ‘80s. In a psychodrama, individuals reenact episodes of their past lifetimes without the use of scripts, which serves to free them from ties of negative experiences, resulting in healing. Ruth Norman, known by her spiritual name of Uriel, was the director of many psychodramas that portrayed students’ karmic past lifetimes together, particularly in civilizations that are part of Earth’s prehistory: Orion, Lemuria, Atlantis, and Egypt. These psychodramas were filmed and edited to make video programs, such as “Roots of the Earthman,” that are still being shown today on public access TV and are available for purchase as videos and DVDs.

This past summer, the students at Star Center One were inspired to film a series of psychodramas that will be edited to create new video programs for viewers to discover how they, too, can heal themselves through past-life therapy. Although Uriel is no longer here physically to direct the psychodramas, her overshadowing influence from the higher planes of Spirit was very evident. Scenes from the Orion research labs and the Inquisition were reenacted during the psychodrama filming, which took place over several weekends. The past became very real to those who participated as well as watched the filming, bringing many emotions to the surface as the scenes unfolded. Following is one individual’s testimonial of what he learned about himself and the positive changes that have resulted.

                                                    *            *            *

I had been experiencing a band-like sensation around my head during the last few months and wanted to know its cause. So I decided to take part in a psychodrama to see the past lifetimes where it originated.

Not until moments before the psychodrama was actually filmed, did I know roughly what I was going to do, and even then, all of the facts were not completely clear. I made a comment or two to the other two students participating and that was it. As it turned out, during a particular past lifetime in Orion, I wanted to impress my supervisor(s). I was told about an electrical implant in the brain that could increase mental proficiency and was willing to accept the implant in hopes of being recognized by my boss as somebody who was important, and therefore, I would gain a position of authority, which I so strongly wanted!

The scene was a post-op office visit where electrodes were attached around the front part of my head, to see how the device was functioning and to run some preliminary tests. During the test, I felt a tingling around my forehead and my hands and legs were jerking. And then, finally, I ended up having a convulsion and falling on the floor--unconscious! After watching this part of the video back, I found myself being emotional with it, which validated this past. And now, after having accepted the reality of this past life, I have not had those sensations around my head!

There’s more to my story, though.

In my present lifetime I have epilepsy, with the onset of symptoms beginning in 1987. The first ten years I was in a state of self-denial. I resented the idea that I had epilepsy and was simply not going to accept it. Period! I didn’t even report all of my seizures to my doctor as a result. Consequently, I ended up in two near-death car accidents. The first one occurred when I drove off the side of the road into a ditch, cut my head open, was knocked unconscious, and lost a lot of blood. Fortunately, a fireman drove by and saw me and called an ambulance. Not only was I involved in a second accident but I was the cause of a three-or-four car pileup on a major freeway. This happened while I was having a grand mal seizure, the type where you are convulsing but are completely unconscious. My license was suspended as a result.

The accidents happened because of my denial of having epilepsy, which I found very ego deflating. This further validates the psychodrama I participated in because I was so into having mental proficiency to prove my superiority and worth to the authorities that to have anything less than was a deflation to my ego. Why? Because now I was not going to get that promotion I had so intensely wanted.

So now I can accept my imperfections, my epilepsy, which is one of many. Another level of my recognition is that I also lived lifetimes where I was the surgeon, operating on others, thinking I was helping them, but in reality I was only trying to make myself look good in another’s eyes. So here again, I was driven by a selfish desire to succeed at the expense of another soul’s life! This is how inhumane I finally became as a result of my greed for power.

As a result of my opening up to my negative past and my willingness to accept it, I am beginning to appreciate that I no longer am that person; that is, as I begin to work out more and more of my karmic past, I can begin to appreciate the finer things in life, such as the scent of a beautiful red rose, which represents the inner beauty that we all have and carry within us. --David Hogue

EXCITING NEWS FROM THE VIDEO DEPARTMENT

Thanks to the generosity of several Unarius students, the Video Department has been able to upgrade computers and cameras to film and edit in high definition. What does that mean? High definition is the newest technology that television stations are using to broadcast TV shows and movies via cable and satellite. This new digital technology provides a much clearer and richer picture on home viewers’ high definition TVs. The Academy’s purchase of high definition equipment is a wonderful step forward that will make Unarius video programs better than ever.

In late July, the two Sony high definition video (HDV) cameras arrived just in time to film a series of psychodramas that will become Unarius newest video programs. These HDV cameras are setting the film industry standard for capturing and representing video footage; film studios and producers are now using these cameras instead of conventional film. The next step for Unarius is to be able to edit the high definition footage on the Video Department’s new MAC G5 dual processor computer. The Academy is raising funds to purchase additional computer components needed for editing. If you are interested in helping to move Unarius forward through the medium of video and television, please contact the Academy to make a donation for the new HD video equipment.

UNARIUS “SPACESHIP” LANDS IN TIJUANA’S MAIN LIBRARY

On July 28, Unarius’ 3-D miniature of a spaceship, used to simulate a real spaceship in the movie “The Arrival” and normally seen atop the Space Cad, traveled over the border to the Benito Juarez Public Library in Tijuana. The occasion was part of a special summer workshop attended by over 20 children aged 7 to 13. The children first viewed the spaceship in the movie and then the model was brought into the classroom. They had made astronaut outfits the day before and put these on to have their picture taken in front of the ship. See photos.

Lani Calvert facilitated the workshop in Spanish, answering questions about how spaceships fly and life on other planets, as well as demonstrating principles of attraction and repulsion with large magnets for hands-on participation. Then each child constructed a small flying saucer, modeled after a diagram from “Tesla Speaks, Vol. 7.” The resulting spaceship fleet was quite colorful, reflecting their youthful creativity in the bright glitters and sequins decorating the ships! Their spaceships were on display in the library during the following week.

The parents were very enthusiastic when they came to pick up their children and asked lots of questions--some even wanted to construct their own spaceships. Each child went home with a copy of the original diagram of the ship--relabeled in Spanish--and a 9” x 12” color publicity photo from “The Arrival.”

Bravo to Cristina Bravo, Tijuana librarian and student of the Unarius classes in Tijuana, for inviting the Academy to teach one session of the four-day workshop on astronauts and outer space.

UNARIUS ON THE HISTORY CHANNEL

By Tracey Kennedy, Media Coordinator for Unarius

Because some people think Unarius may be “out there,” we were hesitant to reinforce that notion when the Academy was contacted by a cable television producer to be on a new series for the History Channel called “Weird USA.” The producer assured us that although the show is somewhat “tongue-in-cheek,” they would not be critical and would present a well-rounded view of Unarius.

The hosts of the show, Mark and Mark, and their film crew spent a full day filming and interviewing two students in April at the Unarius Academy of Science in El Cajon and at the future landing site in Jamul. As promised, the producer let us know when the show would air. When the hour-long segment, titled “Weird Religion,” aired two times in August and again in September, we were surprised that Unarius had the longest segment of all the groups presented--over 20 minutes long! The best part was all the footage they included of Ruth Norman (Uriel) throughout their presentation.

One student called the producer, Jason Fine of KPI, to thank him for their fine representation of Unarius. He was very grateful for the call and responded by saying, “I must have seen the footage 7,000 times while editing and I never got tired of watching it--I loved it!” Even more wonderful is the response from the public about the show. We received many inquiries about Unarius and the teachings, which was exciting to respond to.

On a personal level, being one of the students interviewed, I was amazed at the positive response from so many people I know. Many family members were thrilled to see Kevin Kennedy, my husband, and me on television. One family member remarked at “how normal you both sounded!”

All in all, it was a wonderful opportunity for Unarius to be presented in such a positive light on mainstream television. Thank you to Kevin Fine and KPI productions for the segment they produced!

THE SPACE CAD TRAVELS THE WORLD WIDE WEB

Unarius student David Reynolds had the idea to submit a photo of the Space Cad, Unarius’ cosmic car, to be the featured image on the homepage of the Web site for Coast to Coast AM--the after midnight, new age radio talk show of George Noory. Within a few days, the Academy received notification that Unarius’ cosmic car had been selected and would appear on www.coasttocoastam.com on September 13! (The photo is now archived in the image gallery on the site.) The description of the car included a link to the Unarius Web site with more information and more photos of the Space Cad, including one of Uriel in the Cad, holding a white peace dove. Here is the description of the Space Cad that was included with the photo on the Coast to Coast AM Web site:

“We are not alone in the universe” is the theme of this 1969 Cadillac, named the Space Cad by the media. The Unarius Academy of Science’s cosmic car has been seen on CNN, Strange Universe, the Discovery Channel, A & E, Dateline, and most recently the History Channel. In the early 1980s, Ruth Norman, cosmic visionary and cofounder of the Academy, had the Cadillac artfully painted with beautiful spaceships and “Welcome Your Space Brothers,” to enlighten people about the future landing of these advanced beings and the tremendous, positive global changes that will result from their arrival on Earth. Wherever the Space Cad travels, the car attracts much attention--with smiling faces, thumbs up, and cheers! Read more and see photos of the Space Cad.
